El Calafate

The day after we quit the Torres del Paine National Park we took a bus to El Calafate. We arrived around noon and went to find the hostel a friend of ours had recommended us. Very good choice - it was cheap and clean! After 3 days of rain and cold El Calafate made us feel the summer again. We spent a lazy afternoon walking around, the weather was sunny and the birds were singing.
Given that El Calafate is known as the "Capital of the Glaciers" the next day we visited Perito Moreno, the biggest attraction around. It is something to be seen for sure! The height of the glacier was around 50 meters even though it may look smaller in the pictures, don't let it fool you...
